Only 99 days left until baby girl Shack's due date! Lately she has been moving and kicking a ton! She likes to move especially after I eat and late at night. The numbness in my hands has continued to worsen but thankfully I have been able to sleep a little better the last few nights due to a special pillow I bought called the
Luna Lullaby Bosom Baby. I did read that because of the increased blood flow in my body pressure is being applied to my median nerve which causes temporary carpal tunnel in my hands which is why they feel so stiff and sore. I was glad to learn that I am not doing any permanent damage to my hands as I am quite fond of them. ; ) I have lately taken on the challenge of finding cute and comfortable shoes for my gigantic swollen feet. I was already a size 9.5 pre-pregnancy so it is a little hard to find shoes large and wide enough for me. I have to return to teaching in a few weeks and we are not supposed to wear flip flops. I got lucky a few times at the thrift store and found a couple cute pairs of wedges in 10wide and size 11 that feel comfy and fit well. I am wondering just what my shoe size will end up being in the end because pretty much all moms have told me their shoe size never goes back to being what it was before pregnancy. I have also been trying to find some clothing items that are work appropriate. JC Penny was helpful as has been Old Navy Maternity.
This dress from JC Penny has been my absolute favorite lately! I got it in both pink and black. It is so comfy and cute! I have taken to wearing dresses a lot more these days as they are much more comfortable in this hot weather than pants. I still haven't taken a belly shot yet. Maybe soon...

Woo Hoo~ it's getting close! I've heard of women getting carpal tunnel during pregnancy. Hope it gets better soon!
Hooray for double digits! Those days will fly by, especially with school starting.
I had the numbness and carpal tunnel too. Thankfully, everything returned to normal 6 weeks after delivery. I also had the horrible swelling with my first pregnancy. Rest assured, you wil see your ankles again! As far as shoe wear, as a fellow size 9.5er, I wore my husband's size 11 crocs quite a bit. I also wore support hose while I was working. They helped a little. They were just difficult to put on as my belly grew and grew! Enjoy your last few weeks of summer!
Oooh, maybe she'll be born on my birthday 11/29! I'm certainly not petite, but I never really thought of my 9.5 feet as huge until now. ;)
I've fallen in love with dresses also! I can't bring myself to wear maternity yet, but my pants at a bit too snug. Loose fitting dresses are perfect!
Do take some belly pictures - even if you don't want to share with the world. They are great momentos.
Yay so fun!!! Every little bit is a reminder of the miracle we are so blessed to carry. Some reminders are a littel more persistant tha others right? ;-)
I always told myself that I may not love the "symptoms" but I love having them. :)
p.s. my feet grew about 1/2 size each kid. started at a 7 and now wear a 8 1/2 usually. I loved my birkenstocks when I was pregnant. Truth be told, I love them now. :) Got some newer style ones that are actually cute. I get lots of compliments! They are called Betula. Great arch and toe structure!
Can't wait to see a belly shot, soon.:) My feet grew 1/2 size with both my boys and being 5' tall and a size 5 show, I was happy to move to a 6 and be able to shop for shoes in the womens section for once! Even more bizarre, after my second, I went back to a 5.5! I remember the ankles, too (or really the lack of ankles). I wore flip-flops for the last week of work with my first (we were not supposed to wear them at school, either) and I told my principal "I can't feet these giant feet or ankles in anything else" and he laughed...and I walked around that week with my big, swollen feet hanging off the sides of my little size 5 narrow flip-flops! I should have taken a picture.;)
