Stuck!!!!

For the last week I have had this great blog post saved to celebrate my 25 pound loss and I am so frustrated because I am stuck at the 24 pound mark. The worst part is I totally don't know why??!!! I had great workouts this week (yoga, lap swimming, jogging, elliptical work) and I have been eating well (1000-1200 calories a day). I am going to mix it up this week and add some weights, more yoga, and more intense jogging and eliminate some more carbs from my diet. When I finally lose that 25th pound I'll post my special blog entry. I will NOT give up!

Honestly, Elizabeth, I think you need to eat a bit MORE. Your body will hold on to weight if it thinks it's being starved. Use some online calculators and see what they say for calorie intake for weight loss. I just looked up mine and even with minimal exercise I can still eat 1400 calories a day and lose weight.

I used this one: http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm

Congratulations on 24 pounds! That is awesome!

I agree with Tina above and have experienced that there is such a fine line there that is tough to find... if you havent already used one of those online calculators though, they are a really cool tool (knowing you, you probably have already found a great one to use!)

My first thought is that I can totally relate-- I have been in that same situation many times and for me its always just being patient-- my guess is that if you keep working hard, you will probably ebb and flow with the actual 'scale number' but your body is probably still changing-- I bet in the next few weeks you will see the weight drop in a much bigger number than 1 or 2 pounds-- keep us posted, it sounds like you are doing all the right things and doing them with discipline... I am so proud of you and can't wait to 'see' the changes and chat with you about whats been working best and get in on some secrets! Lets hang out soon, I miss you guys!! Looking forward to the celebration posting!!

Good Job Elizabeth. The P90x diet also talks of the negatives of not getting enough calories. Every ones body is different though. I am not counting calories but I have definitely not eating to little when I was feeling hungry I was not getting the most out of your workouts. The other thing is to have a heart monitor and making sure you are in the zone to burn the most calories during your workouts. Keep it up. I am excited to see the progress. The P90X has been good discipline for me and I am enjoying feeling more healthy. Bye
